I have a really hard time finding tall boots that will fit my large calves. After years of searching I finally realized I would just have to take matters into my own hands! So I took my seem ripper and ripped the outside as well as the lining from the top to about 2.5" almost 3" down. I bought 3" wide black elastic folding the "seem ripped" side into a "v" and then hand sewed the elastic in.
Cool idea! What are the boots made of -- suede? I have large calves, too, for my shoe size, and found "the perfect boots" twice that didn't fit my calves. But as I have incredibly short legs I now admit tall boots aren't the best look for me. :)
ReplyDeleteYea they are suede or faux suede, I got them from Payless for $30. I also have short legs (I'm about 5'2 or so lol) but I just had to give into the tall boot trend!
